beyond the cracks

it’s a process that takes time to adjust to change in general however when a parent has been ‘cut off’ it’s a different kind of wound then a death or break up.
It’s normal for a parent to want to understand what happened. To feel upset have all sorts of thoughts about: what happened, that’s the body and mind are on high alert from the shock of it all.

What’s helped me recover from traumatic betrayal is time.

Time to grieve the part of me that no longer exists. It was like putting a puzzle back together with a missing piece.Accepting what I had power over was key.
Learning to be practice being calm while noticing my thoughts, beyond the wounded ones.Rediscovering a new version emerging beyond the wound. Rediscovering new meaning and purpose to live, beyond the pain.
